First accompanied trip when Jon Tipple and I left the jetty at 1035. With him steering and me raising mast we were nearly at Shamrock before hoisting sails and tacking down the river with Jon working the jib. We tacked up Weston Shore hoping to reach Netley Dome. However, given that we would be running back, I was a bit worried the wind would drop so we turned at 1243 and had lunch on the leg back to the Itchen. In fact there was plenty of wind for the reach up the river so we were back early and motored up to the railway bridge before "docking" at 1440.
